Sarah Emery
PILATES TEACHER
As a ballet dancer and a physical educator for 25+ years, movement has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I feel movement is medicine not only for the body but also the mind, and I am passionate about guiding others to discover this in themselves. As someone who has experienced many injuries, including chronic back and hip pain, I have had to become my own movement detective. I was first introduced to Pilates in 1991 through my dance education and now the method has become a key practice in helping me find balance within my body and to continue feeling physically and mentally youthful. Whether I am dancing, practicing yoga or doing yard work, utilizing Pilates in everyday life has become intuitive.
As a teacher, I get excited about the “aha moments” with my clients and thrive on helping others find joy, ease and comfort in their bodies. I am thrilled to be a part of the Pilates Brevard team and look forward to seeing you in the studio.
